English as Second Language

"I tell you this: anything you did for one of my brothers here,
however humble, you did for me."  - Matthew 25:40

Purpose of ESL

Many new Canadian immigrants and refugees have a great need to learn how to communicate in English in order to find jobs, to make friends, to acquire their citizenship, etc.

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Friendship Ministry of Immanuel is a program run by volunteers from various occupational backgrounds who are committed to share the love of Jesus Christ. Through the ESL course, we offer English lessons, share our knowledge of Canadian customs, and provide a friendship network which will smooth newcomers’ transition to becoming Canadians.
