Jean Pyper Mission Circle

Who Is Jean Pyper?

Jean Pyper was a Missionary who went out from Immanuel to Bolivia in 1931 and served as a missionary/nurse there for about 31 years. We are honoured to bear her name.

For our ministry, we use the word "Circle" because we feel it symbolizes our efforts to "encircle" our missionaries with our love and prayers for their projects.

Who We Are and What We Do?

We are part of the Toronto Area Baptist Women’s Association and the Baptist Women of Ontario & Quebec.

As the "Missions" emphasis group in Immanuel, we strive to keep our whole congregation up-to-date with information about our Baptist missionaries, at home and overseas.

We also affirm and encourage our women at Immanuel who are active in various ministries in our Church as well as with other associated organizations.

Most of our members have a subscription to our award-winning Baptist Women’s magazine, The Link & Visitor, published bi-monthly.

Our Meetings

We meet once a month at 7:45 p.m. (usually the second Tuesday), in the Fellowship Room. We highlight the work of our missionaries and mission projects through personal speakers, when available, through videos and Power-Point presentations; and through our Prayer and Praise Updates.

Also, we have a number of men who support our programme, and indeed attend the meetings month-by-month!

We will be delighted to have you join us!
